What is the secret of your healing and health?

When something bad is happening for a long time, frustration is conceived in us, then resentment, anger, and even rebellion. The day comes that we are saying - ENOUGH. Some people say 'enough' and commit suicide. It's not that  'enough,'  but similar, as you will find below. It must be said - ENOUGH  to the enemy. And following that, there are steps to be taken. After such 'enough' we need to take steps in other direction. What frustration, what anger what  ENOUGH is needed?  (below excerpts from God's Generals by Roberts Liardon)

John's parents were strong, full of vigor people whom God has given excellent health. However, other family members caught the spirit of infirmity and death. As a result of illness four John's brothers died and four of his sisters. "For thirty-two years one of the members of our family was there, bedridden - wrote John Lake. At that time our house was constantly in the shadow of diseases. Memories of John's childhood were diseases, doctors, nurses, hospitals, hearses, funerals, cemeteries and gravestones, a house full of pain; mother devastated and depressed father; both fighting with ghosts of the past to help the surviving family members who needed their love and care. "

... One of his sisters remained sick ... John planned to take her to Dowie, but before he could do so, he received a phone call from his mother, who told him that his sister is dying, and that if he wants to see her again, he must do in a hurry. When Lake arrived, the woman was unconscious, she had no pulse, and her room was full of mourners. Moved by all this John looked at his sister's little baby who was lying in the cradle, and thought: She must not die!  I do disagree with this! Remembering that deep compassion, he wrote later: No words are able to convey what cries arose in my heart for the other person, or the flame of hatred toward death and disease that the Spirit of God kindled in me. Lord's anger gripped my soul !  Lake walked around the room, back and forth, crying in his heart for someone who would be a strong enough in faith to help them.

Only one person was coming to his mind - Dowie from Chicago. So he sent him a telegram, stating: It seems that my sister died, but my mind does not agree with her departure. I am convinced that if you pray to God, he will heal her. Dowie wrote back to him: Hold on to God. I pray. She will live.

After reading these words, Lake viciously attacked in his spirit the power of death, biffing her in the name of Jesus. In less than an hour, his sister completely revived. Five days later, she ate a Christmas supper with the family!

But it was then, and this time his beloved wife fell ill. In addition, her condition is still getting worse. April 28, 1898, when it seemed, the last hours of the life of his wife Jennie are to pass, Lake's friend, a pastor was persuading John to come to terms with God's will and accept his wife's death. Listening to these heavy words, John harden in his stubbornness. However, the death of Jennie seemed inevitable.

In an act of highest desperation Lake threw the Bible toward fireplace. The book opened to the tenth chapter of Acts. When John came over and picked it up, his eyes fell on verse 38: "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." These powerful words broke through his thoughts. Oppressed by the devil! This meant that not God sent Jennie a disease. He did not give anyone any disease! And since Lake has become a son of God thorough Jesus Christ, the Lord is with him, as it was with Jesus!

Now John was convinced that the Jennie's disease comes from the devil. Satan tried to steal the mother from his children, and destroy his life! The next day, in the morning John opened Gospel of Luke 13:16, where it says: "And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?"  After reading this verse, John Lake not only realized that sickness and death are the works of the devil, but also was reassured that Jesus Christ - by John - can bring healing and deliverance to sick!

Using it, God could overcome death! Lake did not have the slightest doubt that Jesus Christ died on the cross, guaranteed his wife, Jennie the healing, same as assuredly her eternal life. He decided that nothing will take away this gift. With courage, only the Holy Spirit could raise, Lake decided that the last word on the matter will belong to God, not to the devil. He went into his bedroom and announced to everything visible and invisible, that his wife will be healed precisely at. 9.30 this morning! Then he contacted Dowie and told him what God will do in the allotted time.

When it came half-past nine, John knelt by the bed of his beloved wife, and called out to the living God. At the same time, God's power penetrated Jennie's body from head to toe. Immediately her paralysis fainted, heart rate returned to normal, and the cough disappeared. She began to breathe freely. Also, the fever subsided. At first, John heard the soft words emanating from the mouths of his wife. However, soon after Jennie exclaimed: Glory to God! I'm being completely healed ! That surprised her husband, who for years had not heard a such a power in her voice.

Then Jennie pulled throws, which covered the bed and jumped to her feet, with full health! It is difficult to describe the joy with which John and Jennie began to praise God!

- Above is an excerpt from the book, God's Generals.

Jesus says about Satan: "He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false." (Mat. John 8:44)  "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." (Mat. John 10:10)

If Jesus calls Satan the father of lies, the killer, if He says about him that he had come to steal, (steal all that is good) to kill, (primarily to kill humans) that he came to destroy, (not only buildings, trees, but humans) - it is up to us, accept it or resist it.

(excerpts from Kenneth Hagin  writings, below)

Divine healing is an accomplished fact. It is a gift, like salvation, already paid for at Calvary. Have you accepted God’s gift of healing? Are you experiencing it in your life in full? If not, it’s time for you to possess the promise of healing and enjoy complete health in every area!

“I have prayed and prayed. I have been in healing meetings all over the country and have been prayed for many times, but still I am not healed. Can you help me?”

This plaintive appeal has been heard many times by ministers. They pray for sick persons, but often the sick leave as they came—not healed.

Why is it that some are healed instantly while others trudge from place to place seeking healing, only to be disappointed time after time?

Why is it that some who are pillars in the church often suffer for years while others who are less devout receive a sudden miracle from God?

Is God a respecter of persons (Acts 4:34)? Or have we failed in our approach to healing, lacking a complete understanding of what God’s Word teaches on the subject?

Possess the Promises Much emphasis has been placed on the practice of anointing with oil, laying on of hands, and praying for the sick. But there is more to healing than anointing with oil, just as there is more to salvation than prayer.

The anointing oil, the minister’s prayer, and the laying on of hands are simply methods, or points of contact. In themselves, they do not heal. They are avenues through which we can release our faith in God’s Word.

Much emphasis also has been placed on the gifts of healings (1 Cor. 12:28), which are among the gifts of the Spirit mentioned in First Corinthians 12:8–10: “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.”

There will be manifestations of these supernatural gifts when people preach them, teach them, believe in them, and yield to the Spirit of God; but these gifts are not always in operation.

Often new Christians are healed by such special manifestations. Then the next time they are sick, instead of believing God’s Word, they expect to be healed in this same way, and they are disappointed when they are not.

I have found in my ministry that supernatural manifestations of healing usually are seen either among sinners or among denominational people who have not heard divine healing taught. I have seldom, if ever, seen them work for Full Gospel people.

Why? Because gifts of healings and supernatural manifestations are given primarily to advertise the Gospel and to gain the attention of those outside the Church. The believer should be healed by releasing his faith in the Word of God.

We must distinguish between healings obtained through supernatural gifts or manifestations and those obtained by exercising faith in God’s Word alone.

It also must be understood that an individual does not operate these supernatural gifts; they are manifested through him. I can’t make them operate any time I want to; I can only stay open for the manifestation of the Spirit of God as He wills (1 Cor. 12:11).

We should stay open for the manifestations of the Spirit of God, but we do not have to wait for one in order to be healed. That’s good news, friend. God wants us to be healed, and He has made provision for us to receive and possess healing.

The gifts of healings have been manifested many times in my ministry, but I cannot make them work at will. I can’t push a button or pull a lever, so to speak, and make the gifts start working. They operate as the Spirit wills. Yet we are instructed not to wait for Him, since He has already done something about our healing at the cross.

Healing belongs to us. It isn’t simply a matter of prayer. It isn’t simply a matter of some spiritual gift in operation. Healing belongs to us because it has been provided for us by the Lord Jesus Christ.

When I tell people they don’t have to pray to be healed, they look at me in amazement. Many have failed to receive healing because they have based their faith on prayer instead of on God’s Word. They expected prayer to do for them what God’s Word will do for them. Prayer is successful only when it is based on the promises in God’s Word.

When people come to the altar for prayer, find out what their need is. If a man comes to be saved, you could pray for him for six weeks, but until he acts on what God said in His Word, he will get up and go home unsaved.

Turn to God’s Word. Show him what the Bible says. Get him to believe it and to act upon it. As far as God is concerned, the man is already saved. From God’s standpoint, salvation is already bought and paid for. So it is not a matter of God’s saving him; it is a matter of his accepting the salvation God offers!

Similarly, it is not a matter of God’s baptizing someone with the Holy Spirit; it is a matter of the person accepting the gift of the Holy Spirit that God offers. Likewise, it is not a matter of God’s healing an individual; it is a matter of the person accepting the gift of healing God has already provided.

Some say, “Well, I believe God is going to heal me sometime. I believe that in God’s own good time and in His own way, He will do it.” That kind of thinking is out of line with the Word of God. First Peter 2:24 says, “. . . by whose stripes ye (you) were healed.”

Notice it says, “were,” not “going to be.” If I believe what the Bible says, then I believe that we were healed. Peter is looking back to Calvary. I was healed then. I accept that healing now.

God laid on Jesus our sickness and diseases; Jesus bore them. He was “stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted” with our diseases (Isa. 53:4). Therefore, Satan has no right to put on us what God put on Jesus.

Someone may say, “It may be the will of God for me to be sick. God may get more glory out of my being sick than if I were well.”

What right, then, would God have to put your sickness on Jesus if He wanted you to keep bearing it? There is no need for both of you to bear it. Because Jesus bore it, you are free!

All of God’s blessings and provisions are conditional. He gave us His Word to let us know what conditions must be met in order for us to receive these blessings. They won’t just fall on us automatically like ripe cherries fall off a tree. There is a God-ward side and a man-ward side to every battle and to every blessing. God has His part to play, but man also has his part to play. Man’s part is to obey God and to receive what He has provided.

Paul said that what happened to Israel happened as an example for us (1 Cor. 10:11). When God led the children of Israel out of Egypt (which is a type of the world), He didn’t abandon them in the wilderness; He had a further blessing for them. He had another land for them: Canaan’s land.

Canaan is a type of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and our rights and privileges in Christ, which include healing. God promised the children of Israel repeatedly that He was going to give them that land. When they finally crossed over the Jordan River into Canaan, God said, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses” (Joshua 1:3). God had said He would give them the land, but the people had to possess it.

That’s how it is with our rights and privileges in Christ. Healing belongs to us. God has provided it for us. But we have to possess it. Unless we possess the provision, we will not enjoy its benefits.

Many people are waiting for God to do something about their sickness. They say, “If God ever heals me, then I’m going to believe it.”

I have talked to sinners who had the same idea about salvation: They wanted to leave it all up to God. One man said, “If God wants to save me, He will. I’m just waiting on God.” I couldn’t talk him out of the notion, and, sadly, he died without God.

God’s Word says that it is God’s will to save people. He invites them to come: “. . . And whosoever will, let them take the water of life freely” (Rev. 22:17). The responsibility for receiving is on man’s side.

The believer sometimes makes the same mistake when it comes to other things God’s Word promises. He thinks erroneously, “If God wants me to have this, He will give it to me. If I don’t get it, He doesn’t want me to have it.” We need to get into the Word of God and find out what belongs to us. If something is promised to us, or if it is provided for us in His Word, it is His will. All we have to do then is to possess it!

We need to settle this in our minds, because as long as we waver, we will not receive anything. James 1:6 and 7 says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” Often we don’t receive because we waver.

Healing is a gift, like salvation, already paid for at Calvary. All we need to do is accept it. All we need to do is possess the promise that is ours. As children of God, we must realize that healing belongs to us!

'YOUR FAITH MADE YOU WHOLE’

"And they came to Jericho; and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee (you) whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way."  (Mark 10:46–52)

As you study the New Testament, you will find that the phrase “Thy faith hath made thee whole” can be found almost every time Jesus ministered to people. This shows us that it was not the power of Jesus alone that healed these people.

Although the power Jesus possessed was in operation, notice that Jesus didn’t say, “My power healed you.” Instead, He said, “Your faith did it!”

Jesus came into the world, the Word of God says, to seek and to save the lost and to set the captives free. The Miracle has come: He is here now to deliver and set you free!

Will the Miracle pass you by, or will you accept Him? It is up to you to receive what you need from God; it is not up to God, your family, your neighbor, or me.

In certain things we do, we are supposed to observe protocol. I learned this when I served in the U.S. Army as a young man. I gladly wore the Army green. I am very patriotic. I am glad to be an American. We may not have everything right, but we still have the best country there is, and I’m proud of it. I trust you are proud of the country you live in, too.

When I was in the Army, I learned to wait on protocol. You waited until you were told to speak to certain people. And there was a special way you did it. You didn’t go bursting into the colonel’s office without an invitation. When you had an invitation to go to the colonel’s office, you were ushered in by the sergeant. And there was a special way you were supposed to introduce yourself. You were supposed to come to attention and snap a salute: “Specialist Fourth Class Hagin reporting as ordered, sir.”

You stood there and didn’t say another word until he said something to you. If he didn’t say anything to you, you stood still until he got ready to say something.

And then you only gave a brief answer. That is protocol.

But I want to tell you if you wait on protocol to be introduced to Jesus, you’ll be in trouble, because the devil will see to it that that opportunity never comes. So if you want to find out about Jesus, you will have to take the initiative.

Why? Because God did away with all of that when Jesus went to Calvary. Before Calvary there was religious protocol. Before Calvary, you did not go into the presence of God. You went to a certain area of the Temple. The priest took your sacrifice from you. Then he went and slaughtered the animal and so forth.

The High Priest was the only one who was allowed to go into the presence of God. The people themselves never contacted God on a personal level. It always had to be through the religious protocol—the priesthood God had established so people could contact Him.

On the day Jesus Christ was crucified, however, the veil of the Temple that separated natural man from the presence of God was torn in two, and religious protocol no longer was necessary. A special introduction no longer was necessary. Mankind could go into the very presence of God through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ!

"Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power."   (2 Thess. 1:11)

I remember one gentleman whom I laid hands on fifteen or sixteen times during the course of an extended meeting we held. I thought to myself, That poor fellow! Dear Lord, I've laid hands on him, and every time, it's like laying hands on a doorknob.

But somehow, he eventually got his faith into action. I was standing on the platform and laying hands on people as they walked by. Usually, I lay hands on people and pray, but since I had already laid hands on this man many times, I intended to just touch him and send him on his way. I thought, He is not going to get anything, anyway.

But when I touched the man's forehead, he jerked the power of God out of me until all I could see in my eyes was what looked like lightning. I felt as if I had gotten hold of an electric wire. (The power of God in the spirit realm is a lot like electricity in the natural realm.) I mean, I saw fire! With my eyes wide open, I saw fire shooting like lightning.

Confession

Faith gives action to God's power. Faith puts it to work. The power is inactive, inoperative, and inert until faith is exercised.
